About my art...
I have had a passion for art since childhood.  My grandmother was an artist and I believe that the need to create has always been a part of me.  Over the years I have explored different types of mediums, however my pieces are now predominantly mixed media using liquid oils.  It took quite some time to refer to myself as "an artist"...but as I've gained experiences both in art and in life, I have opened myself up to opportunities that allow me to share my work. As a busy wife and mother, it has meant everything to have the support of my family and friends to continue to follow my dream.  I know that God has blessed me with so much in life, and I am now realizing that this includes the ability to reach people emotionally through my artwork. Those moments when I see someone smiling from ear to ear or becoming emotional in response  to a piece, at times being told that what began as a simple drawing had been instrumental in helping them through  a difficult experience...this is what makes all of the time, energy and vulnerability of being an artist completely worth it.

I have lived in the Redlands/ Yucaipa area since the age of 3 and have been a part of the Redlands Print & Design "family" since 1999.  I have enjoyed the creative atmosphere and have met some amazing people over the years. I exhibit work at Redlands Art Association Gallery on State St. in downtown Redlands on a regular basis and strive to participate in every local show or festival possible.  I am also a proud member of Yucaipa VisionQuest, and San Bernardino Art Association.

 "A Grateful Heart"
Featured Artist Exhibit at Redlands Art Association-August 2016
This exhibit was especially meaningful to me. On July 1st, I underwent my 3rd heart procedure, this time at UCLA Medical Center, to correct an electrical pathway condition I've had since adolescence. It was a huge success. This realization that I now have the ability to live a life free from the physical limitations and underlying fear that the condition presented, was the inspiration behind the show’s title “A Grateful HeART.”

An overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the blessings in my life...my family, friends, health, and ability to reach people through my art, led me to the desire to pay it forward and donate a portion of every sale from this show to the American Heart Association. We know that Jesus is the healer, and I truly believe that no matter who we are, we are all capable of making a difference. You discover what God has blessed you with and use it...use it in a positive way. Use it to lift someone else up, no matter how insignificant you think it may be...do it anyway.

Thank you to everyone who supported me through this part of my journey:  RAA for unexpectedly inviting me to be featured artist and assisting me through the process. The art lovers who came to view my work and make purchases, making this exhibit an amazing success. Dave Kaney of Brisket's and Tina Collins of 'Just for the Cake of it' for donating their time and talent to provide the refreshments. Redlands Print Shop for the printing of flyers and posters. Ron Witte of DNA for the digital ads on screens all over town.  My fellow artists and friends who encouraged me and helped spread the word to everyone they could.  Dr. Buch along with staff of UCLA Medical Center for allowing God to guide his hands as he successfully healed my heart. My family for their never-ending love, and support of all that I do, I couldn't do any of it without you.
